G. Greene was recently awarded the window and façade replacement project at SBLI in Woburn, MA. Within the last few years, the existing five story building has suffered severe water damage throughout 50% of the inside perimeter and partial damage to the interior floors. G. Greene will have to work within the occupied facility to demolish and replace the existing studs, drywall, light gauge metal and insulation. In addition, over 245 windows will be taken out and re-installed with more effective water resistant materials. The project will entail working around an aggressive schedule while the building remains fully operational throughout the process. The scheduled completion date is December 2010 with all exterior construction taking place prior to the winter season.
