G. Greene Construction Co. was founded in 1966 by Gabe Greene. The company began as a modest, one-man operation in which Gabe worked out of his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His philosophy of hard work and high standard of excellence helped him to establish loyal clients and generate a definitive reputation among his peers. It didn't take long for G. Greene Construction Co. to become the exclusive choice of establishments in the private school, college, hospital, and corporate sectors.

In 1996, Gabe's son, Bob Greene, took the reigns as president of the company. No stranger to the industry, Bob's knowledge from years of on-site experience has given him the drive and dedication to take what his father started and bring it to the next level. Following in his father's footsteps, Bob has continued to maintain a devoted relationship with the Longwood Medical Community in Boston, MA; a clientele that his father established over 40 years ago. Under Bob's guidance the company has grown in excess of $90 million in revenues, employing over 150 people and still growing.

In 2007 following many years of steady growth Bob completed construction of a new corporate headquarters situated next door to the original building. The new office symbolized a milestone for G. Greene as this was the first time the company moved out of the original building that was personally built by both Bob and Gabe in the early 1980's.

The new building marks the conclusion of another chapter in the G. Greene Story and the beginning of a new one. While the company continues to flourish and grow, one thing remains the same, G. Greene Construction remains rooted in its original family foundations.
