Infusion and Inpatient Departments

G. Greene Construction completed renovations to the Infusion and Inpatient Departments at Children’s Hospital Boston at Waltham campus. This 13,000 S/F renovation took place on the 3rd floor of the Nichols Building, directly above the extremely noise sensitive Communication Disorders Department. The Infusion space now houses three exam rooms, support office spaces, 10 open and private infusion bays and a pharmacy. Within the Inpatient area are 11 short stay surgical bed rooms, all which are connected to support office space. In keeping with a consistent theme throughout the entire hospital, the waiting area within the departments feature bright cheerful colors and artistic millwork. This fast-track project was completed on schedule in only four months.

The new departments provide a host of services for children, including blood and med transfusions, intravenous treatments and allergy testing.
