G. Greene Construction Hosts Topping Off Ceremony for New Corporate Headquarters
On December 19, 2006, G. Greene Construction held a Topping Off
Ceremony to celebrate the placing of the final steel beam on their New
Corporate Headquarters. In attendance were G. Greene employees,
subcontractors, consultants and members of the G. Greene Family.
Vice President of Operations Andrew Potts started the ceremony off with
a brief introduction on the significance of the Fir Tree and American
Flag that are placed on the last steel beam. President Bob Greene spoke
to the attendees about growth of the company: “Our New Corporate
Headquarters is not just a symbol of G. Greene’s success, but also
represents the accomplishments that all of you have achieved. I am
proud to share this milestone with all of you, and look forward to our
continued success.”
Concluding the ceremony, the beam was signed by all in attendance
before being lifted up to the top floor of the new building where the
steel workers secured its placement to the frame. Following the
ceremony a festive, catered luncheon was served.
The new headquarters is being constructed adjacent to the current
office building and is scheduled to be completed in August 2007.
The new three-story, 15,000 sq. ft. facility will integrate a
traditional look of brick and limestone with a modern flare of
clearstory glass. Limestone and maple will span throughout the
lobby, reception area, and staircase providing both a contemporary and
classical flair to the space. Each floor within the building will
house offices and executive suites as well as a conference room and
kitchenette. The new headquarters will provide ample space to
accommodate the continued growth of the company.
