CAMBRIDGE, MA – G. Greene Construction was recently awarded a contract from The Broad Institute to provide construction management services for their 75 Ames Street – 3rd Floor Renovation Project in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard was launched to improve human health by using genomics to advance our understanding of the biology and treatment of human disease, and to help lay the groundwork for a new generation of therapies.

G. Greene’s work includes renovations to 4,800 square feet of laboratory space to accommodate the LIU GROUP in its move from Oxford Street. Laboratory renovations will consist of two new warm rooms, modified bench space and laboratory sinks, with vented chemical storage cabinets in the existing tissue culture room. An emergency shower will be added to the tissue culture room and new mobile bench areas will be comprised of existing inventory.

G. Greene will also complete renovations to the existing office area totaling approximately 2,800 square feet. The renovations include updating a large corner office and meeting space. Completion is scheduled for February 2017.

Our project team is made up of Rick Shearns – Project Executive, Michael Robarge – Assistant Project Manager and Mark Taylor – Project Superintendent who will be working in conjunction with Wilson Architects of Boston and The Broad Institute.

The Scoop:

"I wanted to thank you for the outstanding work you did coordinating with our Longwood Medical Institutions during the blizzard that just passed through Boston.  The cooperation we enjoyed during the storm kept the area open for crucial access to our member institutions and we very much appreciate the hard work you and the staff at G. Greene Construction did." Marilyn Swartz-Lloyd
