In 1966, with just a dump truck, a wheelbarrow, and an unyielding work ethic, Gabe Greene founded G. Greene Construction. From such humble beginnings, he built the foundation for what would grow into one of Boston’s most trusted builders.
1970
A Turning Point in Healthcare

By 1970, our team of 10 professionals had established a reputation as trusted partners in healthcare construction, collaborating with respected institutions like Boston Children’s Hospital, the American Red Cross, and Massachusetts General Hospital, to ensure quality and reliability in every project.

Expansion into Education

In 1973, G. Greene expanded into higher education, building at institutions like Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, and Boston College. These projects marked the beginning of a long history supporting New England’s academic institutions.

Hyde Park Acquisition

G. Greene successfully acquired a support facility warehouse in response to the company’s growth. This strategic move enhanced operational efficiency across Massachusetts, enabling a higher level of customization in our services and giving us better control over our assets.

Defense Market National Recognition
Achieving a Breakthrough in Defense with Raytheon EPIC Award
G. Greene strengthened its presence in the defense sector through key partnerships in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. This led to national recognition, including the prestigious Raytheon EPIC Award for Excellence in Performance, Innovation, and Collaboration in 2018.

Headquarters Expansion
