Project Manager – Building
The Project Manager in the building division contributes to the Company’s success by supporting the Project Executive in the overall administration and technical direction of the construction project. The ideal candidate will serve as the point person and lead all aspects of the project as well as providing valuable assistance with project scope, budgeting, scheduling, site logistics, and materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and assistant project managers
- Manage coordination, quality control and scheduling of projects
- Build master construction schedule
- Adhere to contract documents
- Secure Permits & Bonds per project
- Manage the project budget with monthly forecast reports to the PX and Controller
- Manage the set up and coordination of temporary field office space
- Manage subcontractor negotiations and material buyout
- Ability to understand and analyze shop drawings, submittals & requisitions
- Manage Change estimates and change orders to the owner
- Manage meeting minutes, RFI letters and punch-list distribution
- Support the Superintendent and Field Staff
- Mentor and Train Assistant Project Managers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5-10 years of Project Management experience
- BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in occupied sensitive environments
- Experience with hospital, academia, life sciences, defense contractor projects
- Understanding of the construction documents and specifications
- Good work ethic and attitude
- Strong client relation skills
- Strong leadership, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with subcontractors, colleagues, clients, architects, and engineers
- Experience working in Union and Non-Union environments
- High Focus on Safety and Quality Control
- Good Problem Solver
- Proactive to minimize or eliminate risks to company and clients
- Strong computer skills
- Software Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, Timberline Sage, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Excel
