Project Superintendent – Building
The Project Superintendent in the building division contributes to the Company’s success by coordinate all site construction activities. The position is accountable for the management of all on-site aspects of their appointed projects from coordination of subcontractors to administering good construction safety practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design documents
- Conducts weekly subcontractor coordination, safety meetings
- Provides a two-week look-ahead schedule to coordinate all deliveries and shut-downs
- Ensure that both the health and safety project plans are implemented
- Is on site to oversee all the construction process
- Ensure the budget is followed
- Organize the workers and ensure that they are performing as required
- Record the total costs for materials bought and payments for work done
- General inspection of the workers and their performance and safety
- Ensure that the stipulated safety rules and regulations are met
- Follows the project construction process to ensure that it is completed in time
- Supervise the subcontractors and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver
- Supervise all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project
- Ensure that quality is preserved in the construction process and that the budget is maintained
- Maintain the highest quality of work
- Administer good construction safety practices with all on-site activities
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of Construction experience
- OSHA 30-Hour training
- Commonwealth of Massachusetts Supervisors License
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Boston Supervisors License a plus
- Experience with hospital, academia, life sciences, defense contractor projects
- Good work ethic and attitude
- Good client relation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with subcontractors, colleagues, clients, architects, and engineers
- Strong understanding of construction documents
- High Focus on Safety and Quality Control
- Good Problem Solver
- Proactive to minimize or eliminate risks to company and clients
- Basic computer skills
- Software Experience with Microsoft Office and Procore a plus
- Experience working in occupied sensitive environments a plus
