Gabe Greene Tribute

Gabe Greene Tribute

Gabe’s legacy began in 1966, when he started his company as a hard-working business owner in the Cambridge/Boston Metro area. At a time when construction jobs were awarded on a handshake, Gabe’s work ethic and knowledge helped him to establish a definitive reputation among his clients and peers. He took great pride in building strong bonds with the clients, staff and institutions he worked in.

After he retired, Gabe was always a presence with Bob, around the office and never missed a holiday party. No matter the time or place, he was always available to chat, give advice, or even lend a hand when needed.

At the Topping Off Ceremony for the new corporate headquarters he said he was so proud of what his son had accomplished, he gave a moving tribute. As the company watched, Gabe was the first to sign his name on the final steel beam before it was secured in place, where he said “I’m so proud of all the people who have contributed to this company. This new building is a testament to our company’s integrity.”

As hard as Gabe worked on making his company successful, his devotion to his family and friends was unmatched. He was a loving husband to Florence for 63 years and a cherished and caring father and grandfather. His warm smile never failed to light up a room, whether it was full of clients or just a few friends. Some of his happiest times were spent on the ocean with his family and close friends, or in Florida where he had been crowned club champion at his local golf course.

Simply put, Gabe loved life and took the time to enjoy every moment with those who he loved so dearly. He is greatly missed by all of us here at G. Greene who could not be prouder to be a part of his legacy.

“My work with Kevin Krauss and his team was beyond satisfactory. The customer service was impeccable, and their flexibility and willingness to meet BWH’s expectations was much appreciated. Construction is an unsettling endeavor and Kevin and his team made it a most pleasant one.”
