Assistant Project Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent position provides support and assistance in  managing projects. Responsibilities  include  ensuring site safety, productivity, maintaining project schedule and quality control.  The Assistant Superintendent  assists with coordinating  all site construction activities and  provides support with supervision of  all field personnel. Daily tasks include assisting with the following:

  • Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design documents
  • Conducts weekly subcontractor coordination, safety meetings
  • Assist with two-week look-ahead schedule to coordinate all deliveries and shut-downs
  • Ensure that both the health and safety project plans are implemented
  • Is on site to oversee all the construction process
  • Ensure the budget is followed
  • Organize the workers and ensure that they are performing as required
  • Record the total costs for materials bought and payments for work done
  • General inspection of the workers and their performance and safety
  • Ensure that the stipulated safety rules and regulations are met
  • Follows the project construction process to ensure that it is completed in time
  • Supervise the subcontractors and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver
  • Ensure that quality is preserved in the construction process and that the budget is maintained

Experience & Skills

  • Prior  construction experience (preferred)
  • OSHA 30-Hour training preferred)
  • Boston Supervisors License (preferred)
  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts Supervisors License (preferred)
  • Excellent communications skills required)
  • Basic computer knowledge (required)
