G. Greene upgraded the fire alarm and electrical infrastructure systems in numerous academic buildings on the Tufts University, Medford campus. Buildings included Cabot, Goddard and Mugar Hall.
Approach
Work was completed without disruption to occupants in each hall
Adhered to an aggressive schedule to meet the academic calendar; completed during the summer months when occupancy of the campus was lower
Provided interim life safety plan in order to ensure safety of occupants
Completed equipment rigging off hours
Results
Delivered and rigged fire pump and control panel into mechanical room
Coordinate with Tuft’s High Voltage Subcontractor to power down transformer in order to tie in new fire alarm control
