G. Greene is currently completing the first phase of a two phase, four Generator replacement project for Boston Children’s Hospital. This project includes the removal of existing Cummins generators and replacement of new 1000 KW Milton/Cat standby diesel generators. Extensive site protection and safety measures were implemented to ensure that hospital facility operations were not interrupted during the installation. G. Greene employed a comprehensive sequencing effort that included the introduction of temporary generators, removal and replacement of steel stairs and platforms, HVAC relocations and carefully planned power cut-overs. In addition to the new generators, ancillary equipment was also introduced including a new load bank, diesel oxidation catalyst, exhaust silencer and intake air plenum with sound attenuation.
