G. Greene Construction has completed the installation of a state-of-the-art Siemens 3T MRI at Boston Children’s Hospital. The installation was completed while the abutting departments remained operational. To lift this 12-ton MRI into the Mandell Building it was hoisted onto a support structure that spanned across Binney Street, which was closed off to traffic. Safety measures were taken to allow pedestrians to walk to their destinations out of harm’s way while the MRI was being hoisted.
